The new law to protect Iran’s industrial property is now implementable.

Nouraei & M. Mostafavi Law Offices – August 18, 2024- Tehran-The new industrial property protection law of Iran has become implementable from 4 Mordad 1403 (25 July 2024).

This 150-article law titled “The Law of Protection of Industrial Property” replaced the 66-article legislation “The Law on Patents, Industrial Designs, and Trademarks’.

Many new subjects and contents can be seen in the new law. Its chapters include patents, utility models, industrial designs, trademarks, collective marks, certification marks, trade names, trade secrets, unfair competition, and related criminal regulations for combating violators and infringers.

Trade secrets and unfair competition are two key subjects incorporated in the new law.
