Mostafavi Law Offices – August 6, 2024- Tehran-After several years of discussion about the problems caused by the informal sale and purchase contracts of immovable property, the Iranian parliament finally passed the law requiring the official registration of immovable property transaction draft contracts on 17 Khordad 1403 (June 6, 2024 .Article 3 of this law has came into force on 15 Mordad1403 (August 5, 2024).
Article 3 of the law above states: “Real estate brokers, including real estate consultants and real estate firms, are required to enter the draft of the contract in the electronic document registration system after preliminary negotiations and reflect the said draft to the notary public offices for preparing the related official document. Such a procedure does not prevent people from directly referring to official notary offices. “
