Car Owners traveling between Cities to be Fined for not having Corona Vaccine Shots

Nouraei & Mostafavi Law Offices- 13 July 2022-Tehran- Iran-The the national traffic police department’s deputy announced the imposition of a fine of one million tomans (ten million Rials) for car owners who have not had two doses of the Corona vaccine.

 According to the Farsi-language Eghtesad News, Sardar Taimur Hosseini, explaining the situation of traffic on Iran’s intercity highways, with regard to the return of the national city-by-city Corona color scheme alarm marked on the country’s map, said today, ‘’Currently, road travel is possible by implementing the previous resolution of the Task Force for Fighting the Corona virus, which was announced during the Nowruz holiday (Iranian New Year). In light of that resolution, travel on the roads is unhindered only for people who have injected two doses of the Corona vaccine’’.

The deputy of the country’s traffic police stated, ‘’People who have not injected two doses of the vaccine will be under traffic restrictions and the owners of the car will be fined one million tomans if they travel on inter-city highways.’’

Taimur Hosseini expressed the hope that citizens will prevent the spread of Corona by following the known health protocols.

He added, ’’The movement of cars will be monitored through smart cameras, and a penalty SMS will be sent to the owners of cars who have not been vaccinated’’.
